The Virtual Facilitation Essentials is a foundational course packed with practical, actionable tips on creating and delivering more effective virtual facilitation.
Led by Effective Group Coaching and Effective Virtual Conversations author, Jennifer Britton, Jenn has led tens of thousands of hours of virtual conversations, and trainings in the last two decades. From phone, to zoom to skype, Jenn has worked with team members and learners in more than 50 countries around the world. As a coach and educator her focus is on helping others become more effective in their delivery methods. She ‘s been involved in designing and delivering train-the-trainer programming for more than 15 years, and virtual train the training since 2006.
The Virtual Facilitation Essentials program has evolved out of her virtual train the trainer work with organizations over the last decade and the public Virtual Facilitation Skills Intensive program, which she has delivered since 2013. It is approved by the ICF for 8.5 CCEs (including 5.5 hours of core competencies)
During the Virtual Facilitation Essentials program we explore the following topics:
Week 1 – Virtual Facilitation Foundations
Week 2 – Approaches and Engagement Strategies for Effective Virtual Learning
Week 3 – Building your Facilitation Toolkit
Whether you are leading meetings, webinars or other virtual events, having a robust toolkit to draw up upon is key. This session introduces you to more than 12 virtual facilitation approaches – from openers, to closers to goal setting and accountability in the virtual space.
Week 4 – Exploring the Technologies
Week 5 - Tricky Issues and open space for additional topics
In week five we explore common tricky issues around technology, design and participant issues, along with how to mitigate against them.
This program is approved for 8.5 CCES with the ICF, including 5.5 hours of core competencies.

Many coaches continue their learning with the Virtual Facilitation Practicum - an additional 6 weeks of practicum experience where you get to lead a call and receive feedback on your skills. Cost: $997 US (11 weeks in total)
